I've seen a few people repairing them and selling then for a good discount off list price on craigslist. I've purchased a few tip sections to make light kids rods with. He told me he got boxes direct from St. Croix. Ones that were sent in for warranty, a few he showed me only needed a guide or two re wrapped I would imagine a email to them would get u what u want to know.

I am on the search for a 2 piece blank for catfish. I haven't built a catfish rod so I was hoping some one here could give advice. He usually uses rigs around 3 oz or more depending on amount of bait/ sinkers.
Thanks

I'm not a fan, I build only a few rods at a time so being able to have all of the information on one page, as opposed to having to click blank by blank really made ordering and deciding what to purchase a lot more cumbersome.

I have built on batsons travel blanks they make great rods. I've never used the rod geeks travel blanks, but have built quite a few of their other blanks, and was thrilled with quality of their blanks and colors. I plan on building a rod geeks travel blank for my self over winter.

I was thinking about the what ifs on going with the micro wave guides, and yes replacing that first guide incase of a accident seems to b more costly.
On the Fuji k series, what is the difference between the kb and the kt guides? could I run one or other to the tip or do they serve there own purpose? In pictures they look a lot different and concern how they would look on the rod came up in a

Hi guys I was wondering for some guide recommendations for a set of casting rods I'm doing for friend. They will be a set of 3-6 rods all between 5'6" and 7'. Mostly M, MH rods set up for different techniques. I was hoping some one could point me towards a guide set or pieces to make a set that could work for the rods. I was doing research on k series (with rv stripper), and the micro wave

Sounds like a awesome idea but in cold weather I stay in and build more rods. With the blank closer to the tube, does the rod feel a lot different?
Other question does any one happen to know if it would back up to a sk2 casting seat (trigger half) flush or close to it?

Going through my parts and randoms, I came across a .98 12 in carbon fiber tube. I was going to make a straight Tennessee handle with it but was looking for inspiration/ideas to make something unique and different. Does any one have any ideas on things to do with this handle/tube??
Thanks

I have a few requests for some fresh water rods that are durable, can be used for live bait as well as random lures, that are also in a minimum of 2 pieces.
Do you guys have any suggestions of what blanks to look towards? Thanks in advance.

For smaller handles I started turning on a drill press. It took a little while to get get used to shaping the grips vertically but saved me alot of space in my small work room.

I built a few of pack rods for my self with the telescoping blanks. I couldn't find a source for the blanks. What I did was took some store bought ones and stripped them down and built off those.

I may just end up getting a set of each and see which ones I prefer. Then use the other for the next rod. Thanks for the advice guys!

I was wondering what guides you guys are using on your musky rods. I was looking at several different types but can't seem to make a decision on one type. Please let me know your suggestions.
The rod I'm building is a 9ft casting rod.
Thank you in advance for your help!.

Hello, new poster but longtime reader on this site. I'm looking to Build a musky rod. I need it to be two pieces for transporting. The only blanks i found we're st. Croix ones. I'll be mainly casting bucktails. I was wondering if I missed any during my search. Also what kind of guides should I look at for this heavy of a rod. Thank you in advance for your help.
