This rod is for experienced fishermen who know how to fight fig fish with ultra light rod and how to take
care of it. You can catch big fish with BH Cape Cod Special rods, but the rod will be broken easily
when you touch tip section with your hands when loaded with fish or try to lift fish off the water.
Therefore, the warranty is limited. One or two inches cut of tip section doesn't af

Many anglers at Custom Rod Building EXPO asked us when the ultra light Tai blanks are available.
We are informed that the blanks are coming in 10 days.
Like in NC custom rod building show, the ultra light rod ( blank weighs only 1.4 oz) got lots of attention by pulling 15 lb drag at RI show and Fred Hall Show in California.
I got confident I can land 15 - 20 lb red snapper or mutton snapper

It was fun. We didn't know what to expect and what to prepare because it was the first show for us.
It was different from big shows we attended. Many looked for freshwater blanks, but we didn't have any though Black Hole is known for excellent freshwater rods.
It was nice to meet many other exhibitors there and show our products.
Our new prototype 1.4 oz snapper rods drew lots of attention a

Ultra light Black Hole snapper rod/blank
The rod is new and is in testing stage. The rod/blanks will be displayed at the show.
This ulta light rod is like freshwater trout rod weighing 3.8 oz ( the blank weighs only 1.6 oz).
I tested the rod in amazement. I could lift and swing one gallon of water (8.34 lb) with this tiny rod.
It is no wonder they got red snapper upto 90 cm with this rod.

Black Hole Challenger Bank inshore rods/blanks
These rods are the first step to introduce one-piece rods for inshore general fishing in the US.
I was a fan of original Gloomis rods before Shimano took over.
I like light, thin and stiff rods with crispy feeling for inshore fishing.
The new BH Challenger banks have similar characteristics of original Gloomis rods, but they are lighter and st

But I like soft action of the rods for inshore. I brought the light 5'7" jigging rod to French Polynesia trip and I was amazed at the strength of the rod for 40 - 60 lb GT and big shark. ( you will never find a p
