Broke the first guide on this rod. Website says Kigan Master Hand Zero Tangle guides with slim, strong aluminum-oxide rings and titanium frames for the ultimate protection from saltwater corrosion.Where can I get this other than factory ?

I'm not happy with the alignment of one eye. The finish is totally cured. Can I use a heat gun to soften it up and move it or do I need to just totally remove it and rewrap ?

7. Ferrule wrap
I know most everyone does do a ferrule wrap but I was wondering if just a band of epoxy would not serve the same purpose ? I really don't in my particular circumstance think a thread wrap will look all that great. Thoughts ?

Thank you Tom. Yes I have built the rod already. My concern was if the perma gloss would harm the thread finish ?

Had the same problem with a gold color wrap.Turned it so clear you could see where I filed the guides.Saved the day by adding metallic pigment to the next coat of finish at
the suggestion of someone on this forum.Turned out pretty nice.

11. Rod Blanks
Rookie question I'm sure but What's the difference in a casting blank and a spinning blank? Why couldn't a spinning rod be built on a "casting blank " given that the action and power are whats desired ?

Thanks Don..I used a hand wrapper. It a personal rod so I guess it really doesn't matter.BUT if Ihad purchased it from a builder...I wouldn't be happy.I'm only talking 8 days in the sun.It looked great before I used it.Did a surf rod with the same thread....almost dread using it.Time will tell but I think I won't be using that color again !

New to this but I'm learning.Finished a Batson Rainshadow RX 8. Was very pleased until I fished it a week at the coast. The rod is AWESOME but I had used metallic thread and now it appears a lot of the color is "gone" showing
a lot of the silver.Had used a deep blue color.What happened ?
