If you go on to Batson's they have a guide spacing forum that has both spacing for the rods but also recommended guides. Either single foots or snakes will work fine, but if you plan on bush wacking I would go with snakes as single foots get caught up and can either bend or break easier. Also single foots ice up easier if using in the winter. Single foots will allow you to shoot line easier.

I just used some Flex Coat Lite on a build that is over 5yrs old, the hardener is quite yellow as well and the resin was solid. I put the resin in the Microwave for 30 second to bring back to liquid state, and then warmed both up in warm water before use. I tried it first on an old broken rod blank, and cured clear, so used it on the build again with a clear finish.

I am not a Professional Rod Builder, just a hobbyist, but from a customers point of view, when you purchase a rod from a major manufacturer, the majority of the high end Manufacturers replace broken rods or sections no questions asked. Yes there is a big difference between a Custom Shop and the Big Boys, but the same customers that complain are the ones with the big mouths, and will also use the
