Some time back a few posts delt with how to get the clear finish on thread wraps that showed the guide feet with no color. I think you have to use silk thread but I can't remember. Anyone know how to get that effect?

Where can I find the ring inside diameter which corresponds with the size given on SIC guides? A guide size listed as a 6 has what inside diameter?. I hope you can figure out what I need. It is like I know this but so seldom use SIC guides that I just can't remember. I can tell exactly what the ID is on a single foot wire guide as it is illustrated in the catalog. Help. Retired is nice but old

I have been away and have not kept up with the rodboard and am wondering if anyone has been usung AFTCOTE. If so, what are the finished characteristics etc? Just don't want to spend the money and time unless it is good stuff. Am now mostly using LS Supreme and like it alot.

Many thanks. I did find what I wanted doing a search. Generly I found that white silk is used and/or a color very close to the rod color. Of course not using CP causes the effect wanted.

I am building a sage XP and need to know what thread color I can use to achieve the traslucentcy of guide wraps that Sage uses to expose the guide feet.. Thanks Clyde

Once again I must show my ____________? I do not do many rods and am really confused. I have used LS for 2 years now and ran into millions of bubbles the last use(Yesterday). Finally on the label I added hair dryer heat and finally did the job. After hand mixing I waited about45 minutes and still had many, many very small bubbles, so I let the hair dryer finish to the normal bubble free finish I
