As long as you make sure the wrappings are coated with epoxy afterwards there should be no problems.
On my rods I only use 2 wraps on the pac-bay single foot fly guides.

I've been asked to build a 6 pcs, 2hand travel fly rod #8-9, lenght 11 - 13 ft.
I've been looking around, but I can't find any blanks.
Does anyone know of a suitable blank?
Thanks

Hello all you rod wrapping specialists over there,
- is there anyway to avoid that the coating tends to accumulate around the middle of the wrapping.
I use standard 2part epoxy and turning the rotating speed up or down doesn't seem to make any noticable difference.

My starting point would therefore be St.Croix SC-IV once again.
Now my problem is that St.Croix has 3 blanks
8' = 4F804.4
8'6" = 4F864.4
9' = 4F904.4
They are all described as fast, but my experience with other rods is that there can be a

I'm going to help a friend build a 9' - 9'6" 2 pcs spinningrod.
The rod is to be used for inshore fishing for seatrout back here in Denmark.
Casting weight 15 - 25 grams.
He'd prefer a rod with a strong backbone top - medium action, but again not so stiff that he's gonna have visit a fysiotherapist after a day of fishing.
I've got a recommendation for the Batson RX7 Steelhead/Salmon IS
