I like your idea. I think I'll give it a shot. If someone uses the certificate you don't lose any money, just a smaller profit. Who knows how many friends they'll tell. Tom I like yours too. I've been called by organizations asking for donations. I have sent money to some of them along with some business cards, haven't had anyone connected with these organizations order any rods. They say they'll

I have built about 30 fly rods for everthing from trout to tarpon using Rainshadow and Forecast blanks from Batson. All my customers are really happy with them. I made two for myself and they're tough to beat. Also if you have any questions Josh and Kerry are very knowledgable and willing to help. They come with a decal on the butt that you can peel off and place up the blank further. This can be

Yes the stem goes into the blank. The little flange that the reelseat fits on is not enough to hold when putting pressure or leverage on when fighting a fish. Depending on how much space there is glue will fill it. The glue has to get between the stem and the blank to hold anyway. And the outside is reinforced by the reelseat. I don't know how much space you've got there. Wrap some thread on it?

The above mentioned ; you go to a craft store and they know your name. You ask your wife 'do these colours match?' and your not refering to your clothes. You get up at 3 am to work on a rod...and it's alr

I'm going to be building a 12 wt rod with a fight grip. How far above the regular grip should it be placed? Should I fill in between the two with thread and or a hookeeper? I'm sure it's not too complicated, just looking for input and ideas.

I have been building rods for 7 months now. A customer asked about blanks with 'flex tip' for fly rods. What does that mean? I've never heard that term in my life.
