I have a friend that broke the tightening mechanism on a favorite rods of his, the part that holds down the front of the reel. Does anyone know where I can but a replacement?

Thanks Tom, myself I really like the Reverse Stripper. I have a lot of fun answering the "hey who put the guide backwards" with the guys in our bass club. I will just use a regular double footed guide. Thank you for this forum, I have learned a great deal from it.

I use Fuji guides on my casting rods, I have customer who does not like the reverse stripper guide. Since he wants a double footed stripper guide would it be ok just to use a regular double footed guide followed by the KB and then KT runners?

I just received my first Bushido blanks to build for a new customer. These are impressive blanks! The customers biggest concern was balance. The majority of blanks I have built on have been MHX. On these I have saved the info on different models and know where to place the components to achieve a well balanced rod. By well balanced I build to a slightly heavy on the butt of the rod to avoid any c

Does anyone have either an Excel spreadsheet or any other database program they keep their rod builds in? I build the same rod blanks most of the time and never remember what the measurements for winding checks! My wife says that is caused by a certain condition, but I don't remember what it was?

Ok, I'm officially waving the white flag. I've ordered my first Bushido. I'll build them both, the MHX and the Bushido. That is really the only true way to know. Thanks for the help.

Thanks Norman, that was my point. I have had awesome results with the MHX, just had a customer me to compare them. Thanks for all the input and go MHX!

I have a customer who asked me the difference between the MHX verses a Bushido blank in a 7' worm Rod. I have built over a hundred MHX's but no Bushido's so I am turning to the experts for advice. What are your thoughts?

Ok, I give up! Please someone help me with this. I measure the rod blank where I want to put the winding check but they never seem to fit. Do I need to take the measurement and convert it or something?

As advised, I did call them. They were unaware of the exact color, but the man I spoke to thought it was "Dove Grey". Anyone care to jump on this one? The junior bass club in our area was benefit to a lot of these rods and I wind up repairing quite a few, just wanted to try and match the thread color. Thanks in advance for the help.

What color thread is on the Duckett Ghost series? It looks like a grey to me but I'm not sure.

I want to use Permagloss on a rod I'm building for my wife. I have tested it on the decals I want to use and it did not seem to effect the decal. Here's the question, do I need to put a layer on the blank before putting the decals on? And how many coats on the thread wraps to make them look good?

Thanks Tom, The ones I have built so far seem tob reasonably light. I like the feel and the look is amazing. I am only making split grips to fit the Fuji SK2 seat.

Can an acrylic grip be reamed to fit the blank, or do you have to drill and install a arbor. I having been doing the later but my heart thinking would be that a grip reamed to fit would be more sensitive. Thoughts?

I have one of the Flex Coat 200 rpm application systems. I have never had it to throw finish off, I use just as the video from Flex Coat shows ant use 2 coats. The results are nice flat epoxy finishes. If you have the room and can afford it, it I'd worth the price.

I am building a spinning rod for my wife. I'll be using a pink metallic rod blank from Mudhole, Fuji SK2 painted reel seat (pearl blossom) and building the split grip from rose water acrylic blank from Bear Tooth woods. I know it is a lot of pink but that's her thing. Question is what color thread wraps, I know you guys are full of great suggestions so I'll go ahead and thank you in advance.

I have built several rods on that blank. Three for one customer who uses it for a popping rod and loves them. I built one for myself for a jerk bait rod and it really performs well. I would recommend them.
