Look at the photos I just posted for the Missileer logo. It was produced on coated label stock using an ink jet printer.
I used Krylon to spray on it before applying it to the rod. Important: you must spray the thin edges. After I applied it to the rod I coated it with color preserver.
The best decals are the ones that you float off of the backer in water. They are what I use for my name on th

I just used my Dremel tool to cut a shallow groove around the front and rear end of a cigar grip. I used silver and green metallic thread and wrapped them in the groove. I then covered the groove and tread with wrap epoxy until it was flush with the grip surface. Looks pretty good. I posted it on the site with photos.

Is there anyone who makes decals that depict the profession of their customer? I have an order where an aviation logo is requested. I have doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. who would like a small logo of what they do on their fly rods. Any ideas?

If the rod vibrates in a straight line, you have the right spine. If it begins to have an egg or round pattern as it vibrates you are not on the spine. I have found what I thought was the absolute spine line up and it

Thanks. What I had in mind was to draw a scrollwork on the cork and then either using an exacto knife or engraving bit to create a cavity the size of the wire. Using fly tying non-tarnishing wire place wire inside groove and make a 90 degreen bend at the end to put into the cork. Use CA to glue the wire to the cork (or something else if someone has any suggestions).
