I fish Daiwa Fuego 3000A spinning reels, which have a fairly large spool diameter. The rods I have were purchased, not custom built. Could the size of the spinning reel spool relative to the size of the first guide be causing the braid to "bunch up". In other words, could the first guide be acting as a "choke point"? Is the Seeker S glass blank that Rich Forhan favored for fast moving baits still available? Has something better been developed?
