Late to this thread but I received one of the SJ 703’s A couple weeks ago and my immediate reaction was that this is a light to ultra light power. Very disappointed for what I had planned for this blank. I haven’t done all the scientific analysis but the feel in hand is a very light power. I immediately sent an email to NFC questioning if I received the correct blank. No way this blank is rated

Now that these have been out for a while I was wondering what everyone thinks about them. I have been a big fan of the Castaway seats in the past and wanted to get some opinions on these. I am mostly a bass guy and only build rods for my son and me. Are you keeping the seats in tact or are you splitting them? How do you like the Texalium inserts? Do they really add sensitivity?
