Last week I put on my real seat and handle and thought all was well. Tonight I sat down to start wrapping guides and notice a stupid mistake. I left off the sliding ring to secure the real. Is there any way to get the real seat off. I mounted it w/ 5 minute epoxy. The real seat is a Venneri Esopus model that was a gift from a dear friend. It's beautiful and I would hate to ruin it. I'm building a 6 wt, 9', four piece rod - fast action. How important is it to put a guide over, or close to each ferrule? I heard, or read, somewhere that that was important to do. It is proving to be tough to do w/ a 4 piece rod.

I just completed a H&H IM6 2 wt this weekend. I went w/ single foot guides as well. It seems like a fine rod It casts better than expected. On the stream later this week. Good luck, have fun Jeff

I'm planning my next rod, it will be the 7th I've built. It will be my most heavily used rod. When trying to research different blanks I have a difficult time comparing apples to apples. How important is the amount modulus? Is there some specific info I should be looking for to evaluate the blanks. What exactly is IM6, IM7.... I want a rod that is an excellent value. I don't want to
