i have built 15 rods using the FuJI concept guide train and it works very well get good casting distances and line control. Look at thier web site has a great video on thier concept.

I was in local sporting goods store Sunday and saw a ne St. Corix flipping stick and notice something i had not seen before not saying it is anything new, the stripping guide was about 36 to 40 inches above the reel seat anyone else start their guide train beging with the striper this for up the rod was a 7'9" heavy rod. using three threads and scarficing 2 of them will make a tiger wrap pop again nothing like pratice to get it right.

i would recomend taking a few minutes and look at the video that Fuji has on thier web site it explains well the difference on how line flows through guids both casting and spinning.

If the wrapping is the strength behind the guide staying attatched to a rod does it really make much difference on how long after it has dried before using it.

Jeff I set mine at 22 inches and use the Fuji concept guides and wrap all of my rods simple spiral however bass fishing is all that I do some times get to do a little walleye fishing in north ark. I like the spiral wraps using and type of baits jerk baits spinners crank and swimbaits just less stress on the wrist if you do much cranking. you will see a difference if you spend 4 to 8 hrs cranking

i have built 3 using MX-69ML-B as a spinner bait, small crank and jerk bait rods. Using fuji concept with spiral wrap. They are wonderful very light and senstive. Just one thing 12 year grandson and a 4 wheeler rack will break about 12" off of the tip so if you have these in combintaion you might want to hand carry it to your local pond. I like using the Matrix 843 crankbait blanks small to med baits and i have aMHX CBO5 7'6 for the larger crank baits. I like the i have 3 of the MHX SJ783-MHX blanks built using the Micro wave guides.
I would suggest on the crank bait rods that you Spiral wrap them using FUJI concept layout. With the Sprial wrap you will have less wrist and hand fatigue when you are cranking all day with a la

I had a issue with alcholo on my wraps where it was traped in several months later the epoxy turn soft and the guide came off had to do it all over so i make sure that alcholo is total dry and try to keep it from wraps until coverd.

i put a 7' rod on my power wrapper and follow Tom's instructions and the rod finish was smoth and look good. I had buffed the rod and painted it black before puttig the PermaGloss

Me and my Grandsons spent 3 days at the FLW Cup. We are also avid goers of the BassMaster Classic the difference that we notice is not as many different vendors at the FLW mostly just FLW sponsers. BAssMaster Clasic will be almost 2 times the vendors. Hi Bill just had the bad experience with denatured alcohol it soak into the thread and a year latter it the guide came off and expoy was like rubber Roger made the suggistion and after following up it was Alcohol on the thread.
