Jeff If the motor is a sewing machine motor. You can reverse them by changing the wiring on the brushes inside the motor. I just did two of my own. Reversing the plug wires don't work. Russ

Kenneth I like a 9'6" 6wt. 3 piece RX 7 Rainshadow from Batsons. The steelhead have worked this rod over. It has preformed very well. This is the rod I use for steelhead and trout the most.

I was talking to a local rod builder and ask him about single foot ceramic guides on fly rods he said not to use them. They hold the line off the blank when cast it will put a twist in the blank and throw the cast off. Is this true?? Are there some cermic guides better than others? I have a few fly rods to build and was hoping to put ceramic guide on them. What are the pros and cons to snake gui

I have a customer that wants a minnow rod built on a fly rod blank. He wants the rod to be 8’-8 ½’ and use 4lb.to 6lb. line. My question is what weight rod blank do I use and has anyone ever done this. The rod will be used on Pennsylvania’s small steams for trout.

I don’t have a lot to report. There is very little information on this subject. This is what I have. The Aquatic Insects are inlayed in clear polyester casting resin. Here is the problem they have to be dry. If anyone knows how to freeze dry insects the information would be greatly appreciated. I did find a book titled (can’t find the book anywhere!!!) I saw a picture of Caddis Larvae Inlaid in a fly grip. It really looked nice. Does anyone know how to preserve aquatic bugs and inlay them. It looked like they were in epoxy or some kind of acrylic.
