My first attempt at making a carbon skinned grip, not as hard as I thought it would be and the results are really eye-catching, entire rod weighs out at 4.2 oz.

Thought it was about time I tried weaving, always thought it looked like fun... well, now I have a new appreciation for the work the masters do! Did this between split grips on a rod for a co-worker (silly phish fan), took me about 2 weeks to finish lol. You guys make it look so easy, the work you guys do amazes me even more now.

My latest off the bench. Built this for a family friend. Sevier 6'6" ML with burl maple and burl redwood for the grips with a little bit of Sapele for trim tipped with some aluminum from an energy drink can. Dyed grizzly hackle for the feather work.

I am in the process of building a 6'6" ML 2 piece spinning rod for a friend of the family. I have the handle finished and need to do the guides. I have done a few rods with the NGC system and just loved the results. I want to use the updated NGC for this rod but I'm stumped... I have no idea what reel he is going to use with this rod. This is a surprise and I can't call and ask him for the s

I am getting ready to turn a full wells grip for a 4wt flyrod. I plan on using some redwood burl for the reel seat and would like to use it for the ends of the grip. I plan on finishing the redwood with tru-oil or CA, not sure yet. My question is how do you guys go about getting the finish on the wood without getting finish on the cork next to it? Would the use of U40 cork sealer on the cork keep

I would find a 1 piece e-glass blank for price. You can't beat glass for general rough use by everyone as they can take a whoopin. Check out the Forecast SWB70ML or SWB70M cheap and well made. Fishticks4U on the sponsors list can help ya. Mudhole has a Value eglass blank thats very cheap, never used them but for the price it might be worth calling them about it. I would also look into the Gatorgl
