Epoxy drops on the finished rod

After finishing my first fly rod (Gatti blank, glossy finish) I noticed few small epoxy drops on the rod stick. The epoxy has allready cured. Is there any way how to remove the drops from the rod without damaging the rod finish? I think sanding or applying accetone are both dangerous actions.
I've searched the history but found some tips for removing uncured epoxy only. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Alan

If you will gently heat the spots of epoxy with a hair dryer and then try to pop or scrape them off with your thumbnail you should be okay.

In some cases you can use the end of a sharp Xacto knife, corner of a razor blade, or end of sharp dental pick, to very carefully go under one edge of the spot and lift/pop it off the blank. Just be careful not to mar the blank in the process. This method should not require any heat.

Because they epoxy fell on a slick gloss surface. You should be able to remove it without any damage to the surface.
