I'm desperately trying to find an IMX flyrod blank for a steelhead rod.I'm looking for an 8wt 10ft blank.I've tried numerous websites but can't find what I'm looking for.If anyone out there has any info it would be greatly appreciated. The reason I want the IMX is that I already have a rod built with this blank and rather than deal with any warranty problems I'd rather have a spare blank[just in case].Thanks for the help. Try rain shadow blanks bob and karry batson are top blokes who will help you out. They also do top shelf IMX fly blanks as well as some casting blanks so i advise you cheak them out. Stuart Mackenzie Precision Rods Australia Re: IMX flyrods

Hello Tony: I agree with Stuart that the Rainshadow Excel series blanks make an excellent comparison with the IMX. Unfortunately at the moment they are only going up to an RXF 1007 10' 7 wt I am on to their case to supply an 8 and 9 wt. for fly fishing for salmon off the beach on the West Coast. Thanks for the info guys.Does rainshadow have a web site or phone number anyone could pass along? Also are there any other blank manufacturers that have blanks in the same price range as the IMX and are similar in action and weight?I'm really getting into steelhead fishing recently. Most of my fishing will be on large rivers such as the Thompson and Skeena systems so a 10ft rod would be an accet.I don't want to go to a spey rod because I want a rod that could be used on occation in salt for coho.
