I have a few old fiberglass fenwick rods that I built years ago and the finish is waring off the blanks. Does any one have a suggestion on what to coat the blank with? The guide wraps are in good shape and I don't have time now to rebuild entire rods. Thanks in advance. Bruno Re: Finish waring off older rods

PermaGloss or most any clear gloss exterior urethane. I suspect you'll have to strip off the old finish between each pair of guides and then recoat. You may find a simple spray type urethane such as "defthane" to be a quick fix. ....... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
