Scratched reel seat

I pulled a good one. I was doing some final sanding on a grip and forgot to cover the burl madrone reel seat with tape to protect it. I lightly toched the seat with the sandpaper and scuffed it. I looked at it carefully and don't think it even got into the wood, just the finish. What can I do to take out the scratched area? I wouldn't even have worried about if it had been on the bottom side of the seat, but it is right smack dap on top, right where you can see it while fishing. Elrod Re: Scratched reel seat

Maybe you could lightly buff it with a very soft buffing pad and some very fine compound. It might even wax out if you try some carnubu on a rag. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
