Has anyone ever used any of the Cabela's 4 piece blanks, particularly the FT? I am curious as to how they perform. I am considering an FT 9' 5wt. Also, are there any modifications to the standard guide spacing chart for a 9' rod that need to be made considering the additional ferrules? I have used only two piece blanks previously and want to go to all 4 or 5 piece blanks for ease of packing. I you have had good experience with any other manufacturers 4 or 5 piece blanks I'd be interested in your opinions. Thanks for your help. Re: Cabela's 4 piece blanks

No difference on guides spacing, it is still determined by stress testing and casting on any rod. Not familiar with the FT blanks though. ELrod Re: Cabela's 4 piece blanks

I am not aware of any Standard guide placement. What would this be? I know there are various charts out there but unless the chart you are consulting is for that particular rod by that particular blank manufacturer then it will not be the exact spacing for your blank. As far as I know Cabelas sells some good blanks and many people like them very much. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
