I'm trying to use a Bother labelmaker for labeling my rods. The labels are looking good but I can't get them to stop curling when I apply the finish. Bellow are some of the things I have tried. Wraping over both ends of the label. Putting a coat of finish on before the label. Spraying Krylon clear finish on the label after putting it on the rod. Thanks for any help you can give me, Steve Re: Label Problem

Have you tried color preserver over the label? If is curls just on the edges, simply let that coat of finish dry for 24hours, then take a razor and trim the portions protruding through the finish. What Model of label maker are you using? Does is print gold or silver on clear? Elrod Re: Label Problem

Steve, same problem here, using a dymo label maker. The best results yet were when I wrapped over both ends, but I'm still not happy. I have also been told about using color preserver. Thats what I am trying next. Currently, this label maker prints black, white, blue & red on clear. Also the black on silver looks good on black blanks. Let me know if you find something that works better. Thanks, Sean Re: Label Problem

Try decalconnection they put out a great decal and a sheet of them runs about 50 cents each. He also has full sheets you can buy blank. I got my first order from from them and they work great. Very fast delivery. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
