CUI products makes a 7' MH blank that I use for a C-rig rod. I have made quite a few with this blank for my customers and use it myself. It's their Benchmark line and is available through Bingham Ent. It's not a high end blank but fishes great. Re: Carloina Rig Rod

C70MF, in his choice of graphite. Good rig rod. Possibly the 70MHF if he really chucks some lead. Re: Carloina Rig Rod

The guys above gave good advice. A good 7' rod in the 3/8-3/4oz lure weight is what most use. A lot of the really good fishermen are going to 7'-6" now to increase the amount of line they can move on their hookset. A high end, light as possible blank sure helps as the bite is a little harder to detect with this method as opposed to regular worm fishing. As mentioned above, some are fishing fairly deep water and will use heavier lead. In that case a 1/2-1oz. would be in order. Ray Re: Carloina Rig Rod

I asked the same question last season and Bob Mc Camey from Custom Tackle came forward and suggested a Graphite USA C704DHX 7' 0" Fast, Heavy ,12 - 20 line ,1/4 - 1 oz and all the backbone you will ever need. I have since built several on this blank. All the guys love em and the blank itself is beautiful. regards, Mark Schulte Re: Carloina Rig Rod

I have built several but my all time favorite is a Rainshadow 6-1/2 ft IMB-784. I use 3/4oz or 1 oz weights and it likes it. I can cast a mile and it has great sensitivity. It does not cost an arm and a leg either but is a solid performer. Dave Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
