Has anyone tried this rod? Is it really a 6? Actually, I hope it is a 6.5. I have their 6 foot 3 weight that I think is really a 4. Thanks for any input. Re: Tiger Eye 8 foot 6 wt.

I have the 8' 5/6wt. 2pc. and it tests on the Common Cents System at 5.79. So, I'd say the blank is accurately rated. Now, if you are after the 8' 6/7wt. 2pc., I don't know since I have never owned that one. In general, I have found the Tiger Eye blanks to be very accurately rated. The only bizarre result I have found was my 8'6" 6/7wt. 2pc. with CC'd at 4.01! I'm pretty sure that one must have been mislabeled because all the others I've tested have been pretty much dead on. Hope this helps. Re: Tiger Eye 8 foot 6 wt.

By the way, my 6' 2/3 wt. 2pc. cc'd at 2.97, dead on what they labeled it. Thanks Steve...

I didnt know they had a split line rating. I would guess the 6/7 would work very well for my application (short streamer rod). Re: Tiger Eye 8 foot 6 wt.

Based on what I have seen, that would be my guess too. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
