Hi all - quick question regarding trying to match the color of the cork from the Fuji IPS Cork Adapter (Fuji item BGS25C). I recently did a spinning grip using this adapter and I have noticed that the natural cork I added is a darker color than the cork with the adapter. Anyone else come across this? Also has anyone found a source of cork rings that is a pretty close match to the adapter?
Here is a pic of the grip. I'd like to have the natural cork be a close match to the cork in the adapter. The burl is added for contrast. Pretty happy with how things turned out but would rather the natural cork rings be a closer match. [www.dropbox.com] Re: IPS Cork Adapter - Matching Cork?

Looks like you were looking for contrast. Featuring what you cannot fix was what I was going to suggest before seeing the photo. Looks like you were doing that. That natural cork ring isn't far off. Re: IPS Cork Adapter - Matching Cork?

I've yet to shape my own cork grips, but I have noticed that Fuji cork tends to be the lightest cork around. It's very very light and has minimal color change when applying u40. Other corks may be light initially but darken substantially with u40 (justace grips in particular). Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
