I’m hoping that someone can help me. My friend asked me to replace a guide on the above listed fly rod and I am having a hard time figuring out what make guide it is. It’s an older one piece 8’ 10” model. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Re: Echo Prime 11 fly rod

The current web site video says solid titanium alloy snake guides on the new two piece Prime. So no idea about the old.
The good thing of course is a lot of snake guides look very similar. If the guide has a slight grey color and seems bendable, then it could be a Recoil snake guide. What color are the guides you are looking at? Or have you not even seen the rod yet? You may just want to call Echo and ask them! On the other hand, so long as you choose a guide that is similar in color or shade and is the same size, and you pick similar wrap colors, no one will ever know the difference. The wraps may be harder to match than the guide. Re: Echo Prime 11 fly rod

3-4 years ago, I played with and casted the 8 wt. 2 and 4 piece Prime rods, the 2 & 4 pc. had Ti/Sic ceramics, but only the 2 pc. had REC guides, the 4 pc. were SS guides. Both had a very nice and light swing weight, lighter than most I have played with lately. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
