Looking for ideas for a patriotic (red/white/blue) wrap for spinning guides. I have lots of ideas for two footed guides but am coming up blank for single foot guides. Will be using size A thread.

Hi David.

I'm not good at explaining these things but I'll give you the Cliff Notes.

I measure the foot and write it down.

I decide where I am going to put the guide and mark it.

I wrap the red 1/2 the length of the foot.

I wrap the foot in white ending with a Forhan wrap.

I then start the blue wrap with a second Forhan wrap, and wrap out 1/2 the length of the foot.

Thats the basics, hope this helps.

I'm surprised you did not get more ideas!

Another thing you can do is wrap it in white and mix equal amounts of each color glitter into your epoxy.

Another is to use an old trick of wrapping with a silk white and epoxy thinly, and once dried do a flag weave over the top and re-epoxy.

Just let your imagination run wild..white blank-red wraps-silver or white guide frames with blue inserts..

You will think of something you like and can try.

Thanks. Blank is dark grey. I’m not a fan of white thread, just a personal thing I guess. I have some time to figure it out. I will spend some time in the rod room experimenting with different setups.
