Broken rear handle Tenon

I have a 7” carbon fiber handle that I snapped the rear tenon off while trying to take the butt cap off after test fitting. It broke even with the rear handle and the tenon is in the butt cap. I trimmed the handle side of the tenon so it is flush or slightly below the handle so the rear grip and the butt cap fit up against each other smoothly.
My question is, can I epoxy the handle on the rod like I normally would and then epoxy the butt cap on as well, or will that cause issues down the road somehow? I can make sure the grip and the butt cap get a good “seal” together with some masking tape while the epoxy dries. Thoughts or comments appreciated. Thanks- Dave Re: Broken rear handle Tenon

Install an arbor or build one from masking tape where the tenon was, butt your grip against it and Bob's your uncle. Re: Broken rear handle Tenon

If you can't salvage the tenon and glue it to the blank where it should be, and, after it sets glue the cap on, you can make a tape arbor for the cap to fit it to the blank. Make sure you encapsulate the arbor in glue. Re: Broken rear handle Tenon

Try to salvage the tenon, if you cannot, use a piece of a 2O mm polyurethane foam arbor, or make a tape tenon. Check fit and you should be fine. Re: Broken rear handle Tenon

Thanks, I will play around with it tonight and see how it looks. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
