Looking for recommendations for guide kits, that will possibly be used with braided line, it will be both spinning and casting, for bass fishing. I don't want to break the bank, but want something that is durable and will last, I am pretty tough on rods and guides.
thank you for any ideas and suggestions T Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/09/2023 11:50AM by Terry Fude. Re: Recommendations for guides

I am not a rod builder. However every rod I have made for me I use the American Tackle microwave guides.
According to my research Fuji K series guides are really good too. Re: Recommendations for guides

Hard to argue against Fuji Alconites or Alps Zirconia. I’ve also used CRB pro and elite guides with great success. I’d shy away from a kit. You can usually build your own guide train for cheaper and good chance it’ll be better. The only time I’d go with a kit would be for Microwaves especially on bass rods.
All would be right around the same cost depending on frame material.. But If you’re wanting a budget minded kit, id highly recommend the CRB elites. Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 06/11/2023 01:56PM by Evan Cobb. Re: Recommendations for guides

Fuji all the way! SS Alconite is a great value.
I would stay away from CRB. I ordered two sets and they were so bad. Crooked feet and no consistency. I had to grind and bend them to get them to work. I've used 100 Fuji guides in the past 2 years and they were perfect. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
