@RONALD I think a better question might be "what blank can I buy that is comparable quality to "x" rod?
My guess is Shimano blanks are unavailable to the public, I'm pretty sure after they bought Loomis they eventually scrapped their blank sales in the name of profit. Building rods in MA, daydreaming of fishing in CA Re: Production Rod - Shimano Zodias

Shimano does not sell blanks. I've no idea who makes them, and from what I see and hear, no one else does either. So I'm no help! I see a few guys on tv and you-tube who know, but they're not sayin'. Re: Production Rod - Shimano Zodias

El and Lynn ,
I appreciate the responses . I didn't think I could purchase a Zodias blank but thought , if I could find out who made it , I might get a little insight that would help me learn more . Thank you . Ron Re: Production Rod - Shimano Zodias

At one time Shimano was making some of their higher end blanks at the G.Loomis plant in WA. That may or may not be the case anymore. Re: Production Rod - Shimano Zodias

Thanks Mike . I contacted Shimano and they would / could not give me any information regarding the blank - even basic info . I understand their reasoning . Business is business as always . Thanks again . Ron Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
