So my question is you know how some rod companies have a small colored portion just above the reel seat/locking nut between stripper guide, can this be achieved with an airbrush and does anybody have experience with this Re: Airbrushing small area on blank

Yes it can and is often done. If you have experience with an air-brush you already know how to do it.

While good paint can be had in rattle cans, if the area's not to large an airbrush would be a lot neater from an overspray standpoint. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/30/2022 08:33PM by Lynn Behler. Re: Airbrushing small area on blank

NP...Search for MTN 94
[www.montanacolors.com] Airbrushing is great for some fine details...I always run into trouble on slick surfaces (like blanks)....things tend to spider (usually). So....If Im airbrushing.....I need to do a little prep work on the blank.....then I need to seal it with something...either epoxy or a spray clear acrylic. If I use a rattlecan I just tape it off and spray....no prep...no seal. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
