I am trying to chose the best CB701 for my needs from NFC offering (this blank is being offered in IM, SM and Delta line) but I am confused with different specs of this blank published in various places.
First of all, tip & butt O.D.'s from the NFC website do not match paramaters from their online catalogue - so I don't know which should I follow. Secondly, CCS paramteres ( IP, AA ) differ as well - for instance for the IM version I've found IP of 313 and 198 - so big difference. I know that manufactures redesign their blank from time to time and the data collected at the unspecified period of time might not be valid anymore. Therefore I would like to take opportunity and kindly ask owners of CB701 acquired say within last year to share specs of CB701 they have Best regards, Pavel Edited 2 time(s). Pavel check your source, on sites with multiple blanks measured you can sometimes get a cross threaded eyeball and read two lines instead of one. I have seen it a couple places over a year apart and they seem to be the 290's to 310's about what you would expect and pretty much what NFC's graphs show. Re: NFC CB701 IM/SM/Delta current specs

I've checked.
CB701 Delta: online catalogue tip 5.0, butt 0.518, wgt 1.8 oz NFC website tip 4.6, butt 0.49, wgt 1.83 oz Rodhouse measurement tip 5.0, butt 0.51, wgt 1.8 oz CB701 SM: online catalogue tip 5.5, butt 0.493, wgt 1.7 oz NFC website tip 4.4, butt 0.49, wgt 1.9 oz CB701 IM: online catalogue tip 5.5, butt 0.510 wgt 1.8 oz NFC website tip 4.6, butt 0.49, wgt 1.7 oz So Delta version of CB701 seems to be verified - Rodhouse measurements match online catalague. Unfortunatelly, Rodhouse do not sell SM and IM version of this blank. Interestingly, CCS public database provides as follows: CB701 IM: IP = 318, AA = 79 CB701 SM: IP = 272 AA = 75 I've found a post from 2013 by Matt from Otterods at the other forum with following specs regarding IM version of CB701: IP = 198, AA = 62 Best regards, Pavel Edited 1 time(s). All of these CCS power numbers are pretty low-what are you expecting the rods to do? What weight lures to cast? By the way, 75 and 79 are pretty high AA numbers for crankbait rods, if that's what these are supposed to be. I personally don't mind AA's that high for cranks, but most fishermen expect lower AA's for cranks. Re: NFC CB701 IM/SM/Delta current specs

I had 278:76 for the CB701, probably the SM
I also have the delta, just not home to measure it Re: NFC CB701 IM/SM/Delta current specs

Its the same in the RDA database too: CB701 IM 200 grams power and 62 degree tip angle Re: NFC CB701 IM/SM/Delta current specs

How does RDA transfer into CCS, is it possible to recalculate from RDA into CCS ? I am sorry but I am not familiar with RDA Best regards, Pavel Re: NFC CB701 IM/SM/Delta current specs

Pawel,
May be off little help but , when I was considering an NFC blank , I found the same differences you mentioned . Everyone here advised me to only look at the specs listed in the catalog . Not sure why there is a difference but , supposedly the catalog is the go to source for specs . Ron Re: NFC CB701 IM/SM/Delta current specs

RDA doesn't transfer and if you never knew another thing about it you wouldn't have missed much. Theft of another's ideas done poorly at best. Re: NFC CB701 IM/SM/Delta current specs
