It will still crack CP or no CP. Depends on the amount of flex in the rod and the guide type mostly. Feathering the ends of the feet very fine will help some but that's about it. Re: Epoxy Cracking

A more flexible epoxy will develop stretch seams in the area where less flexible epoxies will crack (check).
The issue is that guide frames do not flex at the same rate as the rod blank. In fact, most guides are terribly over-built for the job they have to do. The stiffer the guide frame, foot, etc., the more cracking you'll see. Wrap a set of old Aetna Foulproof guides on a rod and you won't be able to cause a crack no matter what you do. Those guides flex easily. Grinding a shallower taper on the foot helps. That's about all you can do. ......... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
