Date: October 18, 2005 02:47PM I finally broke down and constructed a wrapping jig more in line with the my "end product" rod quality. I give credit to Greg Pennel for the original plans and much of the insight to building this red oak, $36 jig! Yes, $36 with tax! I altered a bit of the plans to fit my needs. These included a longer base to the thread holder that puts the line a bit farther away from the rod being wrapped, a longer overall jig base extended to 40" length, adapting the thread holder to a 6 threader, and installing alignment dowels to act as guide pins for the holders when they slide.
