Is it ok to use tip ring 7 with 4.5 runners they apparently don’t make small torzite rings with a big tube and I already ordered 4.5 torzite runners. Ideally I want ring 5 or 5.5 with tube 7.5 but it doesn’t exist. Thanks Re: Tip and runner size

Many of us have done it on purpose when you are using heavier mono, or flouro mainline to decrease drag at the tip. Re: Tip and runner size

I usually go a size or two larger for the tip but not 4.5-7. Other than maybe looking alittle off it won’t affect anything except maybe alittle extra weight? Re: Tip and runner size

No question it will work, pretty sure it's gonna look weird. (real sure) Re: Tip and runner size

You can always wrap a single foot guide onto the tip to serve as a tiptop.
