ESN blank suggestion

So I am probably going to have a trip coming this summer or autumn. Friends who visited there last year told to use nymphing method which produced much more fish than dry flies, and nymphing rod of about 3wt 10ft was suggested.

Without ever doing nymphing before, so I need a new rod. I build my rods these days, so a blank.

Nymphing isn't going to see much use locally, so it is mainly for the yearly trip. Hence I am not looking at high end blank, such as Sage and CTS, which I used to build.

And to my limited understanding, nymphing does not need to cast a fly line, so I guess unlike fly rod, it is less demanding to the blank quality.

A blank, as long as it is sensitive, and light weight, would be a good nymphing blank.

I am looking at blanks from Proof, and Taniwa. Any review about their blanks?

Or you have any other suggestions?

Thanks

I used the 3 wt 10 ft Proof blank and am extremely satisfied. Great nymphing blank but versatile enough for wets and small streamers with regular fly line
Quality blank and components at a reasonable cost. Matt is very knowledgeable and easy to work with

I have also heard good things about Proof, but you may also want to consider the Pacific Bay Arctos series. They have a 10' 9" 3-wt in Natural Graphite and an 11'3" 4-wt in their Satin Brown Metallic. The Arctos Series is a high modulus (IM7) graphite and is light in the hand and very responsive! Both of these models are 4-piece blanks which makes transport so much easier! You could get either blank through Utmost Enterprises. Utmost is listed in the sponsors on the left side of this page.

The ESN anglers seem to be going to a longer rod for some time now. If you are at all serious about this technique I'd go with the Pac Bay that was built for this technique over a generic blank design.

I am in the same boat. Looking for blanks for Euro-nymphing.

I already have the ESN rods I bought from Sage. Still hoping that NFC would make some blanks for EuroNymphing one day...
