Where can I get leather to wrap foregrips?

Some of the vendors may carry it. Tennis racket or golf shaft suppliers would have something similar.

Please keep us updated on how this works out. I have never considered using leather, but sounds interesting.

I am interested in learning what type of leather and how thick and what substrate you would use?

I am also interested in learning about what type of adhesive would work best for leather as separation issues may arise if say a super hard adhesive is used and, I am wondering if a more pliable adhesive would be more durable over time, but might affect sensitivity?

Another issue could be shrinkage of the leather over time?

Just a lot to consider going this route, so this thread is of interest to me to follow.

If I do it, I would wrap it over cork and use a contact cement to adhere it. I would also bind the ends with thread and seal that with rod finish. I will be building 6 80lb boat rods for chair fighting so sensitivity won't be a issue.

Leather wrapped grips have been a mainstay on offshore trolling rods for decades. It's a proven material for rods even under hard use.
