Hey Everyone. I am building a couple of rods and doing a few guide repairs and im wanting to find a resource I can go to get the info on what guides suit what purpose and what line weight (i.e jigging rod using 80lb braid vs softbaiting rod using 20lb braid vs livebait rod using 30kg mono). Its somewhat easy to find info on what guides to use for what purpose on forums like this, and Inhave an idea of lone weights by seeing what guides people use on certain builds, but is there a manual or something that fuji has so I dont have to google for hours or come and ask on a forum every build? I have had good success finding recommended linw weight and application for ALPS guides but not so much Fuji
Thanks so kuch for your time! Cheers JD Re: Where to find reference for Fuji guide line ratings

I would list your rod details and ask Fuji at info@anglersresource.net
There is a lot of info in their catalog also: [anglersresource.net] Re: Where to find reference for Fuji guide line ratings

The guides we used are over engineered for our needs, I would simply take the info you find in the Alps catalog and transfer it over. Light duty guides, medium duty guides, heavy duty guides, etc. I have Fuji SV guides on a saltwater rod that got fed everything you can catch trolling, or wreck fishing in Florida with 40 lb mono, than white sturgeon over 8 ft long regularly on 80 lb, braid and bottom fish in the salt for 37 years now no ill effects. Now go fishing. Re: Where to find reference for Fuji guide line ratings

Johnnie,
While I whole-heartedly agree with Spencer’s statement “The guides we used are over engineered for our needs”, common sense would dictate not using a Fuji KT on a tuna stick or inversely a HB on an UL rod. Virtually all present guides are extremely strong for their respective minimal weight. As long as the guide is not grossly over or underrated for the application, you will be fine. Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! BUILDING YOUR OWN SIMPLY ENHANCES THE EXPERIENCE. Re: Where to find reference for Fuji guide line ratings
