Somehow I acquired a auto ceramics coating kit. I did some research and decided not to use it on my vhecial. I started thinking (bad move) how would it work on rod blanks and/or composite grips?
I am reluctant to try it because I have no clue what to expect, what the results will be or if it is even worth the time to do. So my question is, has anyone out there tried ceramic coatings on any rod components. If so, please share your experience. Thanks John Re: CERAMIC COATINGS

John,
It is essentially high test wax. Do you want wax on your rod? If so, go for it. It won't hurt the blank or components, it will just make everything a bit heavier. Best wishes p.s. Use the ceramic coating on your vehicle. It works very well and rain just sheets off the surface. Excellent product for vehicles and other metal objects. Re: CERAMIC COATINGS

I doubt you're going to see any practical weight increase from any of the ceramic coatings. You'd be hard pressed to weigh the difference without a laboratory type scale that can get you down to grains.
