Dode anyone have experience with Fuji Ultra Poly Fishing Rod Wrapping Thread. Are the colors vibrant? Do they look good over dark rod blanks? Are they basically nub free.? Do they lay well, and create a smooth wrap.? Do they need CP?

Inquiring mind want to know.

A very good thread never had any problems with it. Just use like any other thread.

I've only used Fuji's metallic Ultra Poly thread (lime green and navy blue) on gloss black, satin black and natural blanks- colors remained very bright and absolutely beautiful. No CP was used (I tested first to make sure color remained true- it did). No troubles with nubs.

Fuji's Ultra Poly is one of my favorites and I've used the regular Ultra Poly and the no CP version and both are superb . The regular Ultra Poly will need CP just like regular nylon thread need CP to keep the thread as close to how they look coming off the spool . As expected the no CP Ultra Poly doesn't need CP it looks great as is but the regular Ultra Poly does have a more noticeable sheen and sparkle to them . Good luck finding negative reviews of Fuji's Ultra Poly in any version , it gets rave reviews everywhere you look .

Almost all I use. While there is not the vast color spectrum available that some others have they are quality threads and wrap & finish very nicely

Does it have the same stretch as they old nylon that we all loved (no need to mention name brands as you know what I mean)?

The Fuji Ultra Poly does not stretch like nylon thread so it will take a little getting used to if you have only used nylon. The colors are good and vibrant and their NCP holds true to color.

I've used the Fuji Ultra Poly many times and like it, never a problem. While I expected to sense a difference in stretch between it and nylons, I never picked up on a difference, so I expect it's minor.

I do wish they made colors to complement all the Fugi Perfect Fit items.
