Looking for some info that I thought I found once and saved, but can't find now. Years back I built several rods on Perigee blanks all for my own use. I label nothing and don't use factory labels. No particular reason just prefer not to. I engrave a number in the reel seat that is hidden by the reel. Number corresponds with log book entry, and recently a computer file. I log every component detail.
Well at the time time I built the Perigees I was still just writing things down. Few years back I got water in the basement. Very minor just a bit of seepage. But enough to soak into the cardboard box that contained my at the time dormant rodbuilding supplies. Log book included. Also a ton of guides that were in small zip bags with paper labels. I got a whole bunch of no longer readable writing. Logbook is totally gone. Got several rods I really like, and are liked by other that have used them, would like to be able to reproduce them as close as I can if need be in the future. I know the perigee line was fairly small. Should be fairly easy to match specs to my rods. Would have a starting point on future builds. Wish I could get all my info back but don't have a clue were to start on the other rods. I can remember brands but what series and what time period is too hard to nail down. So today's lesson kids is protect your records as best as you can have more than one copy. Or use those handy little labels that come with the blank. Thanks for any info on the blanks. As far as I know, after all the years! I was told the Perigees were G1000 and Certified Pro blanks with an occasional IM700. My saltwater blanks are all G1000 and spec out exactly with the catalog at the time. The salmon/steelhead blanks were a mix of both. The bass blanks appear to be Certified Pro and IM700 from the models and tip butt sizes. The fly blanks really don't match any of my catalogs and brochures, my 5/6 9 footers have near the same butt diameter as my 9 wt blank has, 1/2 inch. Re: Lamiglas Perigee Blank Specs?

Mo that is the exact page I was looking for. As I said In my original post I was trying to figure out what I have. With the chart I will be able to figure out what model blanks I built on based on the listed specs. I want to be able to compare them to current manufactured blanks for future builds. I took a considerable break from building. The last rods I built was a set of six different rods on the Perigee blanks. I was at the top of my game and I spared no expense on the rods. I and anyone that has fished the rods have been very impressed by them. I am certain there are even better offerings available today. Want to use the Perigee rods as my baseline when choosing blanks for future builds. .
I have built a fair number of rods since getting back into building. They have all been for very different applications and rather specialized. I foresee myself getting back to more mainstream builds like I did with the Perigee blanks. Will be easier to narrow down the choices knowing what I built on. In your opinion what current manufacturer and blank series what be the Perigee of today? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
