In the newest episode of American Tackle's "At the Rod Bench", Don Morse shows us how to easily install the G2 Full Carbon Handle system.

These handles are offered in both casting and spinning models and are a perfect edition to any custom rod. Available in 9", 12" and 16"(Saltwater/ Swimbait Model) and comes with a kit with the butt cab and proper hardware for installation.

See the video here: [www.youtube.com]

How would you form the compound shapes and get the mandrel out? The shapes seen in the AmTack and NFC grips come from rifle scope shaping and the mandrels come apart to be removed.

Hi Spencer,

I don’t know about any rifle scope shaping? The G2 grips were designed and patterned after finely shaped fishing rod grips. Slight contours are possible, and exaggerated compound shapes can be done with multi-piece mandrels.

Hope this helps, Merry Christmas!

Hi Lance,

We are always working on developing and adding to our extensive line of rod components to give rod builders the best components possible; and what they have been suggesting to us over the years. This is currently a project we are testing out and trying; be sure to follow American Tackle on all of our social media platforms for newest updates, news, and releases.

Merry Christmas!
