Dear Custom Rodbuilders, You can get a grip on this post. (pun). I'm introducing a new product that didn't make it into our new catalog. It's really more of using a new technique, but with the right product. The product is a Rod Builder's Leather for Grips. I'll mention the reason it's a special product by it's charateristic qualities, but the technique for applying can be farily easy to do with the use of conatact glue. We'll include with the leather the procedure for making very attractive and durable leather wraps for your custom rods, and a video on the technique will follow soon that we will be distributing. We have the leather now (finally!) and ready to offer it to our rod building customers. The Features of the special Rod Builder's leather follow: -Specifically manufactured for custom rodbuilders, primarily as a durable and attractive grip material, and is hand picked for quality - The leather is tanned and dyed for maximum waterproofing - The leather is thiner than other's to help rod builders finish the ends without appearing bulky -This is the best leather in the world from Tuff Australian Hide for the purpose intended -The leather strips are bevelled on both sides to allow overlapping by 2 or 3 mm -Besides being waterproof, the leather is lighter than hypalon, EVA, or even cork and also has enhanced durability and strength -The leather avails your rod grip for a handsome finish and great feel to the touch, with positive holding power -Once the technique is mastered your custom rod will be more valuable and make you a more versatile custom rod builder -The product is inexpensive, comparable or much less than using cork or foam, and is available in perforated or non-perforated black. The size of the strips ar approximately 4' in length and 1 1/8" wide Anyone interested in this please contact my email address and I'll send you the pricing and further details. Best Regards, Rich Richard's Rod & Reel Service Re: New Product Offering for Grips
