The Liberty DS series has been a favorite and many of you asked for an 8 foot model. Here it is...The DS800! In stock and ready to stick whatever you throw at it.
What is so unique about this blank? The super soft tip makes it extremely sensitive for feeling light bites but the mag taper give is real back bone to turn fish. We dare you to try it...but be-careful...you will end up with a couple more. They are awesome! Whether drop-shotting for bass or casting light lures for crappie / walleye / smallmouth etc.., this blank is a must have. [getbitoutdoors.com] Thank you for the heads up. The numbers were off, sorry for the mix-up. Here are the correct weights. Is the blank weight accurate? Seems like a big jump in weight compared to the jump between 7-0 and 7-6.
7’0” = 1.7 oz 7’6” = 1.7 oz 8’0” = 3.1 oz Re: *New Liberty Blank* You Asked For It..We Listened...

Hello All.
I also agree, I would think the 7'6" should weigh around 2.4 oz. Soooo whats up Get Bit? Tight Wraps & Tighter Lines. Bob, New Bern, NC. Re: *New Liberty Blank* You Asked For It..We Listened...

Assuming the numbers are correct, the weight might have something to do with a more powerfull butt section, typical in mag bass type designs. Because the additional weight is in the lower 1/2 of the rod, it might not be as detrimental as one might suspect.

That makes more sense. I just built a NFC ds blank, but those would be a strong contender. I am still eyeing the 8' one Re: *New Liberty Blank* You Asked For It..We Listened...
