I have Catalogs with Fuji guides from 1989, 93, and 99. I could look up a few things for you to get you in the ballpark. I'll do some checking. Re: Fuji guides

Thank you Lynn I just don't want to buy 3to5 thousand dollars in Guides if I am not able to use or sell some of them. Also Has foul proof or recoil guides in picture. Just don't know the difference between the two. The picture shows them and they are shiny not dull looking. And didn't know if they are still in demand. And he said he had some Harnell blanks never heard of them either. Thanks again Dennis Re: Fuji guides

Personally I'd stay away from old guides because of all the advancements since. I know nothing about foulproof guides. I know Harnell blanks are often mentioned on the west coast forum. (saltwater) Re: Fuji guides

Copy on the advice about staying away from old guides.
Virtually nothing to be gained by staying with some old guides, unless they have been given to you for free. But, the new guides have better design, better feet, and improved performance. Take care Re: Fuji guides

Well I am going to stay away from them Rodger thanks for the advice.I wish I can find somewhere to buy Fuji Guides in boxes of hundred.I do have a tax ID but doesn't get you a better price from 1 guide to a hundred. So that is why I was asking about older guides. How about them foul proof or recoil guides how do I tell the difference. The picture I seen of them they are shiny not dull looking like some iv'e seen Re: Fuji guides

Thanks for you time to do this for me Norm this is very helpful . I will say that this site is very helpful for me as I been only building Rods for a little over a year. There is so much to learn about building Rods.I am 66 years young and this gives me pleasure to build these Rods. I had the pleasure Of building a Rod together with my 11-year-old grandson Which was really great for the both of us. So once again thank you Dennis Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
