I believe someone upon seeing one for the first time made the comment " wow, the guy that built that must have been on acid." Re: Acid wraps

It was patented in 1909 by John Scanlan. It has since been referred to under many different names, including "Roberts Wrap" that was popular in the 1970's and 1980's. In the 1990's it become more popularly known as the "Revolver Wrap." Each were slightly different but all achieved the same thing.

My above post is accurate, I can't pin down the year, but it had to have been post 60's. It does indeed refer to the effects of LSD on the builder. Re: Acid wraps

They’re still doing acid in the 2000s? I feel lucky I escaped the urge back in the 70s. Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! BUILDING YOUR OWN SIMPLY ENHANCES THE EXPERIENCE. Re: Acid wraps
