Cross wrap help

I was practicing my cross wrap technique. In the picture you can see the ridge where the cross wrap stops. I could not get the thread to cover it. Any tips on covering this better?

If you make the tie-off wrap a double wrap you'll not have that problem. And once you apply finish you cannot tell that's a double wrap.

Did you cut the end of the crosswrap in a straight line? Don't do that. Taper it as described in videos, books, DVDs. Most basic questions can be answered wtih a little searching. John Shear Chippewa Falls, WI Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
