I have several blanks that it want to build into bait casters. If I measure the blank diameter midpoint where the seat is to be mounted, is there a sizing or conversion chart to show me the correct size reel seat to buy? I can use a universal one with arbors, but prefer the one piece exposed blank models. I'd prefer to go a little small, I can always ream them a bit.
thanks for the assist, frank Re: exposed trigger seat sizing

Measure the blank where you want the butt end of the reel seat to fall. Then, if you've measured the blank diameter in inches, simply use a unit of measure conversion website to convert it to mm.
Or you can divide the blank measurement by .03937 and come up with the mm equivalent. If the measurement falls between sizes, just order the smaller size. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
