Guide removal help

Hey guys,
So in looking for s little wisdom here. I'm relatively new to rod building and decided to tackle my first standup rod. I chose to marble the under wraps and double wrap navy thread on top of them to hold my guides in place. Anyways the rod came out great EXCEPT I bumped my roller stripper when I was epoxing everything. Like an idiot I assume I didn't knock it out of alignment but sure enough I did!

My question is the roller stripper is now out of alignment and epoxied in place on top of a marbled underwrap and up against a marbled butt wrap. It appears as though the rod will work but it's alignment will annoy me to no end. How can I remove and reward the guide without destroying the marble underwrap or buttwrap? Any tips or tricks? Appreciate any help I can get bc otherwise the rod is perfect!!

Andrew
The best way I know to do this is to try & remove only the thread. To do that warm the epoxy over the thread wraps GENTLY then cut the thread across the top of the guide foot - start about half way through the wrap band and slice TOWARD the guide support leg (which will save your blank and perhaps a finger slice). Slowly peel away the cut segment & you should be able to find a tag end of the wrap by picking at the uncut edge. Once you have a tag end pull slowly but firmly and the thread should peel away in the opposite direction it was wrapped on while leaving everything else in tact.

Thanks Ken for the detailed description. I'll give it a shot.
