Building Late Dads Blanks

I have a couple of my late fathers rod blanks I'd like to build. I've only built one rod years ago and it
went well. Still fish it.

My problem is I don't know anything about the blanks. Spinning? Casting? Recommended handle configuration.

I have 2 each of the Lamiglas GLB841M one piece 7 foot blanks and 1 each Lamiglas GW62ML 5'2" blank.

Any info would be appreciated.

Bruce

You can build them as any type of rod you please. I'd figure out what they feel like to me and build then accordingly.

Lamiglas GLB841M is a graphite live bait blank, the other was later changed to GFW I believe for graphite freshwater blank. G1000 graphite.
GLB 841M, 20 lb. class blank, 3/4 - 2 1/4 oz. , 2 7/8 oz. Blank wt. 6.5 tip listed, but don't trust it, measure. .585 inch butt dia.

GLB 1m has been my saltwater go to blank for conventional fishing such as strippers and flounder. They are a great conventional bottom rod good luck with the build.

Thanks....... I'm thinking double foot guides are best?

Could I build one casting and one spinning? Or are they best suited for one?

Pardon rookie (61 year old rookie) questions.

The blank doesn't care how it's built. Guides, etc. depend to a certain extent on the line used, reel used, do you need to be able to pass a knot of swivel?, etc. More info would be helpful.
