Curious what guides others use on a mhx843 Max taper blank when using the pac bay minima guides? Are these the right guides to use on a heavy rod? 7' medium heavy blank, spinning Re: Minima guides on mh 7'

These guides are just fine to use on that rod.
With a spinning rod, all of the guides are below the blank and are really not very subject to bending. Good luck Re: Minima guides on mh 7'

They will work great. Last week I caught a 45" striped bass in current with braid line using the single foot TiBronze guides. My scale only goes to 30# but it slammed down so I'm assuming it weighed 35-40#. The guides held up perfectly. No etching at all. I went to catch a half dozen more 10-15# bass and no problems. Great quality for the price. Good luck. MH Re: Minima guides on mh 7'

The blank I used for that rod is a lamiglas 7'3" XL-875. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
